Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson Makes It
Happen!
| Keith
Carson, Supervisor, 5th District of Alameda County knows how
important young people are. In addition, he is a proud
supporter of efforts to build bridges of understanding
between generations and across artificially constructed
divides. That is why when the Berkeley Boosters / PAL
program approached him for help with their programs, he was
fast to
act!

Carson is familiar with the 20 year history of the Boosters
providing innovative programs to youth in Berkeley that
build connections between at-risk youth and our Berkeley
Police officers. So, when he was told that the Boosters had
so many kids in their programs, that they didn't have enough
vehicles to take them on their famous outdoor education
trips, Keith was able to arrange for the donation of two
used vehicles, one a 15 passenger van, to help make sure the
kids got to experience their sailing, biking, hiking,
backpacking, kayaking and other trips. |
