Research has shown that participants on sports
teams perform better academically, and display a
greater attention span and ability to focus on a task.
Our PAL sports participants get the chance to compete
against other PALs throughout the state at the
California PAL tournaments. For many of our kids, it
is their first trip away from Berkeley! We have
reigning championship teams in Basketball and
TaeKwonDo. We participate in golf and soccer and we
host the city-wide Jr. Giants Baseball program. Most
importantly, our kids learn important life skills and
they have FUN!
